It may be cliché, but our people really do make the
difference.
ALAN TREIBITZ - CEO
Mr. Treibitz, CEO of Z-Axis Corporation, has been the executive
producer for much of the company’s major litigation
work since its founding in 1983. Considered to be one of the
leading litigation presentation strategists in the United
States, he has worked on more than two hundred cases during
his career. He has been a pioneer in the development of courtroom
presentation systems and he holds a patent in the field of
presentation technology for a method for controlling multiple
remote display devices.
In the trials of Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols for the
bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma
City, he worked as executive producer for the United States
and designed or supervised most of the demonstrative evidence
used in both trials.
During the last 10 years, he has worked on many of the largest
intellectual property trials in the United States representing
such diverse clients as Eolas, 3M, CobeBCT, Fonar, Gambro,
Honeywell, Litton, Micron, Sepracor, Unocal and Xerox.
In aviation litigation, he has been involved in many of the
major air crash cases during the past 15 years. These include
the crashes of Delta 191 at Dallas-Ft. Worth, Continental
1713 in Denver, Avianca 52 in Long Island, Northwest 255 in
Detroit, American 965 in Cali, Colombia, United 232 in Sioux
City, Korean Air 801 in Guam and the July, 2002 mid-air collision

Germany.

design and use of visual communications tools in court. He
has presented to the Conference of Chief Justices, the International
Bar Association, the Royal Aeronautical Society, the Cambridge
Institute, the Patent Resources Group and numerous legal organizations
across the country.
STEPHANIE KELSO - President
Stephanie Kelso, president of Z-Axis Corporation, also a
pioneer in the field of computer animated demonstrative evidence,
produced her first case in the mid-80s on the opposing side
of Z-Axis. She joined Z-Axis in 1993 as Director of Sales
and Marketing establishing the department and many of the
systems and procedures that the company employs today.
Over the past decade Stephanie has worked directly with clients
or behind the scenes on many of Z-Axis’ cases. Whether
it’s business development and the hiring process, visual
strategizing, or monitoring the production process and the
presentation at trial, she is heavily involved in all day-to-day
aspects of the business. Her experience covers all types of
complex cases including biotech and high-tech patent cases,
environmental cases, suits against Big Tobacco and the World
Trade Center with many of the leading law firms in the world.
She has provided consulting, administration and management
for cases nationally and internationally.
Ms. Kelso is a spokesperson for Z-Axis and gives CLE seminars
to law firms, and associations, such as American Inns of Court,
sections of the American Bar Association, Lex Mundi and International
Conference for Law and Technology. She has written articles

Prior to joining Z-Axis, Stephanie was in management with a
national corporation that both manufactured computer graphics
hardware and had presentation service bureaus nation-wide. During
her tenure at Genigraphics she worked on the product launch
of the first PowerPoint for Windows, training account executives
in 22 cities on today’s most-used software for off-the-shelf
presentations. She has extensive experience in the presentation
industry in the areas of litigation, training, sales, marketing
and finance.
GARY FREED - Visual Strategy Consultant/Senior Producer
Gary L. Freed is a Senior Producer for Z-Axis and he has been with the company for nearly 25 years. Mr. Freed is experienced in electronics, video systems design, computer graphics engineering and production of computer animation for use in the courtroom. Mr. Freed is responsible for supervising all engineering, technical and scientific aspects of Z-Axis’ internal systems and leading research and development on new presentation technologies for the courtroom.
Mr. Freed uses his engineering and scientific training to interpret technical material and form it into presentations for courtroom use in aviation cases, complex and highly technical intellectual property cases and large multi-party insurance litigation. He has been instrumental in solving technical communication challenges for trial teams that have set precedent in the courtroom and in the industry. The techniques that Mr. Freed invented to visually communicate the events leading up to the crash of Delta 191 have set the standard for courtroom communication. Most recently the forensic analysis he conducted for the World Trade Center litigation was instrumental to the trial team’s case.
Prior to joining Z-Axis, he was employed by Ampex Corporation, a major video equipment manufacturer. While at Ampex, he was a Systems Test Engineer responsible for writing test procedures and designing test equipment for the company’s latest professional videotape recorders. Mr. Hauschel has worked with law firms nationwide as well as the Department of Justice. He has managed litigation projects in nearly all areas of law including intellectual property, environmental, product liability, tax and commercial, and aviation as well as personal injury and medical malpractice.
